The Flip-Flop Man

If you go to St. Petersburg, Florida and at sometime go out of your house or hotel, you're most likely going to see the "Flip-Flop" man. He easy to recognize- he wears flip flops while running and usually carries a long staff. If you see him, be sure to stop and say, "Hi Larry!" or more daring, "Hi Flip-Flop man!". Some people were so intrigued by him they even took the time to put together this nice little video. Be sure to watch it!

  1. Maizie, This is an excellent post. I hope Mom and Glenda read this and then watch the roads. He certainly is an inspiration to me! I can't believe we had the great luck to actually meet him!!! That Daddy, he sure hooked us up! Thanks for taking the time to post this. Larry would love to see this, I know.

  4. I set up gram eby's account on my computer. I hope she will be able to use it on her computer? Maybe I should have done this on her computer and NOT mine. But John just got in and is resting before dinner -- so I was bored and trying to do some quiet task. Dear me, your grandmother and I are a pair! I'm directionally challenged and she's technologically challenged.

  5. Maizie, I enjoyed learning about Laqrry. This is still Glenda. If you are ever in Lemoyne, Camp Hill, or Wormleysburg look for our friend Monroe. He's a 60 year old black gentleman who wears a red running suit and lots of silver chains and runs 10 miles and walks 10 miles every other day. He is on our website giving a testimoney about how we saved his life. He drives John's mom places for us and cleans our clinics now. It is great to see people who rescue themselves and find something physical that helps them deal with mental problems. This is still Glenda - sorry.

  8. Dear Maizie, You may not believe this but I think that for a while, Larry lived in Amherst Massachusetts! I swear I have seen him before! Running without shoes and often without a shirt all over town! I know this because before I lived in thw town I live in now, I lived in Amherst. It is not far way really. But that video of Larry looks identical to the shoeless guy we'd see in Amherst all the time! When it got cold out, we all felt very sorry for him. And now, maybe this is him in Florida! It must be the same guy!!! Thanks for such a fun post!
